BEE Rating Solutions' VERIFICATION PROCESS has been developed to meet the specific needs of our clients.
In accordance with the government’s broad-based black economic empowerment (BBBEE) strategy and balanced scorecard approach, BEE Rating Solutions has developed a BEE offering focused on education, verification, and rating. The balanced scorecard (BSC) facilitates the process of setting measurable targets for BEE, BEE verifications and other measurement purposes. Our verification procedures are based on the DTI’s guide for verification agencies (to be gazetted in the near future). BEE Rating Solutions is an Accredited BEE Verification Agency (BVA049) and a full member of ABVA (AM00014).
According to the Codes of Good Practice the total points which a company can earn is as follows:

On my BEE Certificate my company’s rating is a Level 4, with a Recognition level of 100%. What are the implications of this rating for my company?
To obtain a valid BEE certificate your company has to undertake the process of becoming BEE compliant by achieving a score of more than 30 points on the BEE scorecard.
The BEE Codes of Good Practice attach levels of compliance to the points scored by a company on its BEE scorecard. A score of between 65 and 75 points will give you a level 4 compliance rating. Similarly, each compliance level has a BEE Recognition level associated with it which can be used by your clients when calculating their procurement spend. Level 4 has 100% recognition, therefore each Rand spent by your clients on your goods or services will be recognised at 100% for their B-BBEE procurement analysis. If a company procures goods or services from a supplier with a BEE compliance rating higher than 4 (i.e. 1-3), they will get more points on their scorecard due to the higher recognition level of their spend, e.g. any procurement from a Level 1 supplier will be counted at 135% of the original amount spent.

Your company will receive a verification certificate as well as a detailed report on each of the components and sub components. The verification will be added to BEE Rating Solutions's database as well as the the DTI's website when it's active.
