Why does my company need to go through the BEE verification process to become BEE compliant?
A legitimate BEE verification certificate enables a company to be recognised for its BEE status with the assurance that its status is accurate and verified.
The certificate effectively confirms a company’s empowerment credentials and enables it to position itself competitively for new business opportunities including government tenders, obtaining or renewing licences, concessions, permits or other regulatory approvals. |

Why should I use an Accredited BEE Verification Agency?
SANAS is the body appointed by the DTI to accredit Verification Agencies. This was done to ensure the quality of verification thereby instilling confidence in the ratings given to companies. In September 2008 the BEE Codes of Good Practice (published in February 2007) became broad-based requiring businesses to comply with the full BEE scorecard and obtain independent verification of their score as proof of their BEE Compliance. The implication of this is that a business must now obtain an independently verified BEE certificate from a SANAS accredited BEE Verification Agency to be recognised as BEE compliant. BEE Rating Solutions is unconditionally accredited by SANAS (BVA049) and can provide you with an independently verified scorecard. |
